To forgive is to accept,
to put behind, let go,
and to remember him up high
who shed his blood for us below.
Wrongfully accused,
although perfect in every way,
Still, he paid the price for sin and gave his life away.
We do not deserve
his pain an agony,
but he chose to forgive,
to love, to set us free.
So when our hearts are in distress
remember what he did:
By death and resurrection
He taught us to forgive.
